Meet Tracey
Hi, I'm Tracey Ivo, an Australian artist based on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
My creative journey began six years ago, and what started as a curiosity has grown into a passion for colour, texture and self-expression.
Inspired by people, places and the moments that stay with us, I create expressive abstract and figurative artworks.
I love the freedom of experimenting, making unexpected discoveries and allowing each painting to find its own direction.

About the Artist
My work is deeply connected to memory, emotion and the places and people that shape our lives. Growing up in rural New South Wales gave me a lasting appreciation for connection, community and the Australian landscape.
Working intuitively with acrylics, inks, collage and mixed media, I explore expressive mark-making, layered surfaces and the balance between bold gestures and quieter spaces.
I'm continually learning and challenging myself through the Creative Visionary Program, private mentorship with Alan Morrison, and studies in portraiture.
Exhibitions & Recognition
In 2025, I participated in the ELECTRA group exhibition at Studio 8 in Currumbin and an in-house group exhibition at Burleigh Art Hub.
My painting Gathered Moments was selected for the 2025 Lethbridge Small Scale Art Award Salon des Refusés, and Held Together was a finalist in the 2026 Rotary Art Awards.
These opportunities encourage me to keep experimenting, embracing new directions and developing my own artistic voice.
